Gobert would make this team so much better. He’s a offensive big man that can rebound, & that’s about it. Vucevic has not been the answer for them defensively, not even close.
They need a defensive tower like Rudy Gobert manning the middle. With Randle, Vucevic, & Bryant all having the ability to space the floor, Paschall’s game will be much easier to accomplish.īall, Mitchell, Bogdanovic, Randle, & VucevicĬlarkson, NAW, O’Neale, Paschall, & Bryant Then, I’d bring back Paschall on a two year minimum deal to fill the backup PF spot. It would be smart for Utah to use their tax MLE on him. Before he got hurt, Bryant was playing very well for Washington as a floor spacing big man. A player that comes in mind is Thomas Bryant.
To conclude, if Utah wants to deal on their stars & remain a legit title contender, this is the move to make.įirst thing I’d do is sign a backup center that can complement Julius Randle. I believe this front court would do very well together because of how different they are. He’d work inside the paint with his strong frame while Vucevic spreads the floor. Randle would be a solid fit offensively next to Vucevic. And with an unhappy player on their roster in Julius Randle, this would be a swap that makes sense for both teams. A team that can really use a point guard like Mike Conley is the New York Knicks. Now with Ball on the roster, the Jazz simply don’t need Mike Conley. He’s a big man that can space the floor for his team with his above average shooting. With that said, in this scenario, the Jazz flip him to Chicago for Lonzo Ball, a solid do it all PG that can run an offense, play defense, & hit the three, along with a new starting center in Nikola Vucevic, who is basically the exact opposite of Rudy Gobert. Gobert impacts so many shots a game it’s crazy. He’s a center entering his prime who has been one of the best defensive players All Time for a big man. Many people disagree or have different thoughts on how high Gobert’s value is. So with that, it’s clear that Utah has to break up this duo. There’s a statistic out there that says Young has more assists to Capela then Mitchell has passes to Gobert. Mitchell doesn’t even look to pass the ball to his 7’1 big man, even when he has a mismatch, which is very sad. The pairing of Donovan Mitchell & Rudy Gobert obviously isn’t working for the Jazz. UTA: Lonzo Ball, Julius Randle, & Nikola Vucevic
